Build Support
We are unable to provide individual customer support with kit building so please see the detailed assembly guide here to gauge difficulty before purchasing. Once started, kits cannot be refunded. We also have a handy soldering tutorial here!

“Awesome kit, excellent instructions! This was my first real soldering project, and I couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out. Be sure to order the CV-out pin header option for more fun with external modular toys. I use it with my Bastl Kastle for hours of sound making :-)”

One of the easiest and cheapest DIY stepsequencer !
There are few parts (so it takes only a couple hours to build), the assembly guide is very well done, and the square blue leds look nice. It’s great to drive a synth, or nice also to sequence their DIY drumsynth.

This unit is great. It worked straight away, even after being assembled by me. Combined with the drum synth, it’s easy to get some blippy rhythms going in no time. Excellent value for money.

A brilliant little kit for budding synth fans. Worked 99% straight away, and Darren was incredibly helpful in working out what I’d done wrong for the last little bit! The patch outputs let you easily use it to drive other hacked devices, like my monotron!

Had great fun building the Baby8 – really nice implementation of this circuit, the ability to change the duty of the gate is great, and the dual function reset/omit switches work a treat. Soldering the kit is pretty straightforward, just keep your wits about you and be aware that the frequency control pot is a different value from the cv pots. I built mine in less than two hours.
It integrates really well with my Eurorack modular, but will also work well with software such as VCV Rack if you have a DC coupled audio interface.
Nothing quite like this elsewhere on the market as far as I’m aware, and the finished kit looks great and is drawing admiring looks from colleagues and students
